The following behaviors taught in Beginner Group Classes can also be taught in Private In Home Sessions

 

 

BEGINNER CLASS

 

 Look

 Sit
 Down
 Stay
 Come
 Off
 Go to your mark
 Leave It
 Drop It
 Loose leash walking
 Waiting at doors, babygates, etc
 Polite Greeting of guests or strangers
 Handling dog by others (useful for vet visits)

This is a 6 week course.

Cost is $150.

Although the majority of students move on to Intermediate after completing this class, if you would like to repeat the class, it is free.

 

INTERMEDIATE CLASS



Because this class prepares your dog for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test, these behaviors will will be taught in a group class environment

 

 Solidify the behaviors taught in Beginning Class

 Passing by another person/dog team
 Being out of site from owner

 Final day of class will be the CGC test

 

Although taking our Beginning Class will ensure easy transition into the Intermediate Class, it is not mandatory.  We will need to meet with you and your dog ahead of time to make sure all beginning behaviors have been established.

TASTE OF AGILITY JUST FOR FUN


1-DAY WORKSHOPS


Periodically we have Workshops taught by guest agility instructors so that you and your dog can get “A Taste of Agility” in a no pressure/fun environment

Prepayment for Clicker Class is $45

Clicker and Marker Training


This is the type of training used for most animals trained for movie and TV work. Clicker training can be used for all phases of dog training including basic obedience, behavior problems, agility, and trick training. This is the fastest way to build communication and focus between you and your dog. This is a 2 hour introductory workshop. You will learn and practice your clicker skills with each other and with demo dogs. No personal dogs at this class, we will provide demo dogs for you to work.) This class is the prerequisite for the other two workshops.

 

Tricks, Targets, Toys, and Play


In this workshop you will work your dog using clickers and other movie and TV training techniques in a friendly inviting atmosphere. You will learn how to use toys, rewards, and motivating techniques to play and do behaviors that you can impress your friends with. Agility equipment will include: Short plank, Target mat, Go Kennel, Get on the disk, Poles and Tunnel.

Prerequisite: Clicker Workshop


A Taste of Agility, Just for Fun


Using your clicker skills you will work with your dog on obstacles that move – just a little along with some basic Agility. Agility equipment will include: Rocking plank, Wobble board, Jump, Box, On the ball, Table.

Prerequisite: Clicker Workshop

All dogs must have basic obedience skills such as Sit, Stay, and Come.
